Our Story

Oakland Park, Florida

Thee Quad began with access

The story of Thee Quad Resorts begins with an opportunity made possible in part through the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) and a belief that housing could provide more than shelter.  It should defend against predatory landlords, preserve affordability and give people room to build, create and feel proud of the place they call home.

From there, Thee Quad evolved into something larger: an environment shaped by sustainability, wellness, art and collaboration.  Solar energy, water conservation, gardens, creative design and intentional spaces aren't separate amenities — they're part of how the property operates and how life here is experienced.  What began as housing gradually became a place to pause, recharge, participate and explore what could happen when people were given room to do more.  The people who have stayed here, brought animals through the gates, shared their work, collaborated and believed there was something here worth investing have helped shape that evolution.

Today, that idea of community extends beyond people. TQR continues to evolve as a habitat for plants, wildlife and new ideas — where people can stay, animals can be cared for, businesses can collaborate and different forms of life can share the same ecosystem.  Animals can't exactly tell you what it's like here, so we'll let the people help tell the story.
